Clover has matured into a petite (around 42 pounds at a year), smart, self-confident collie. She loves playing with bigger dogs and being bossy with sheep! She is kind, sensitive, and very gentle with little puppies and other small animals. She loves to come out to the barn and help me with chores and also (like all collies) loves to be cozy in the house. When we go on hikes or to the dog park, she loves to explore but will look back regularly to make sure she knows where I am.
I hope to do more herding training and competition with her in spring and summer 2012.

Clover is the "runt" of Gypsy's 2010 litter. She was about three ounces at birth, but was very strong and vigorous. We expect that she didn't get as much gestation time as the other puppies for some reason, and she was born premature. I bottle fed her for her first week of life, using a formula recipe I found on the Leerburg german shepherds website. She loved it!
Clover has a wonderful personality--spunky yet also sweet and cuddly, like the little ones often are. She is special!
