Thank you for your interest in purchasing a collie from us!

Have you considered a rescue collie? Please take a look at Cascade Collie Rescue and see who is available! :)

We are planning a litter between Ginny and Jake at Bella Collies in summer 2012. This litter should be gorgeous and have amazing temperaments. Ginny was temperament tested by Oregon Assistance Dogs as a pup and got the highest score possible as far as suitability for a service dog. Ginny is a CEA normal eyed carrier; PRA noncarrier; MDR1 mutant/normal; and has OFA preliminary "good" hips. Jake is a CEA noncarrier, MDR1 mutant/normal, and has OFA "good" hips. Because this is Ginny's first litter, I wanted to breed her to a more mature gentleman--Jake is six or seven years old and is very healthy and is a beloved family dog. Colors expected include blue merle (Jake's solid blue variety, known as maltese); sable merle; sable; tricolor; and color-headed white collies of all colors. Ginny is a white collie and Jake is white-factored, so we would expect approximately half white collies from this litter, with the other half being white-factored. Of course, we don't always, or ever, get what we expect. LOL! Please contact me if you would like to be on my email list for this litter. I will take deposits once pregnancy is confirmed, and the order of deposits received will determine the order of puppy picking.

ALSO...

We want all of our puppies to go to loving homes, where they spend the majority of their time living indoors with their humans. Collies need to be a part of the family, and our collies in particular don't have the temperament to thrive in a kennel or living outdoors, away from people. (An exception might be a dog going to a farm type situation where a collie is outside protecting livestock and thus has a job to do and feels fulfilled...far different from sitting in a kennel waiting all day for some human contact.)

Our puppies are normally sold with with limited AKC registration (not for breeding). They will be up-to-date on shots and wormings at the time they leave us at eight weeks of age. They will also have CERF eye exams unless one or both parents is a CEA noncarrier. Puppies are raised in our home, and are paper trained and well socialized with both adults and children, as well as with our (very tolerant) cat, Clark.

We offer a $50 refund for every AKC performance title your puppy receives (up to $200). This includes obedience, herding, agility, and rally titles. We also offer a five year guarantee against serious genetic defects. Our health guarantee does not require you to return your puppy to us. However, we will take back our puppies at any time during their lifetime if you can no longer care for them. To see our guarantee, click HERE.

If you are interested in full registration, please contact us to discuss it! :)
