As of January 2012 I am officially selling Black Gold dog food. For several years I have been switching between Black Gold's "Ultimate Adult" dog kibble and several other brands in the same price range. Well, over time I realized I really prefer the Black Gold to all the others--it smells good, looks good, and my dogs do really well on it. With this past litter we were really going through the Black Gold "Ultimate Puppy" and pretty soon all the stores around me had run out, and I had to switch to a different kibble. I instantly noticed a difference in poo volume and "texture" lol. So after the pups were gone I contacted Black Gold and met with the local sales rep, and now I am selling it myself!

A couple of the good things about this kibble--it is corn free, all of the ingredients are made in the U.S., and it is 96% digestible, which means lower stool volume, which is a great thing!! I guess the reason I liked it so much better than the other foods in its price range (around $1/lb) is that Black Gold keeps the price of their food low by selling it only through small "mom and pop" stores rather than large pet store or grocery store chains that have a much higher markup. The same quality of food at a pet store would go for $60 to $85 for a 40 pound bag.

I believe that a healthy dog should do well on any quality kibble, or raw diet for that matter, so I am not going to start telling people this is the only kibble you should feed your dog. However, I am excited about this food,  so if you or your dog are not happy with your current kibble, I encourage you to give it a try!
