Clover was born here at Romany Collies and is the daughter of Jake and Gypsy.
Clover is a petite, smart, self-confident collie. She loves playing with bigger dogs and being bossy with sheep! She is kind, sensitive, and very gentle with little puppies and other small animals. She loves to come out to the barn and help me with chores and also (like all collies) loves to be cozy in the house. When we go on hikes or to the dog park, she loves to explore but will look back regularly to make sure she knows where I am. She is great in the car and unflappable in new situations.
Clover is one of the easiest dogs I've ever owned...she doesn't have the impulse to do anything naughty or annoying, and she is very middle of the road in temperament--loving, but not demanding. She is a very quick learner and loves to follow household routines.
Clover has a beautiful moderate, easy care coat and old fashioned low ears that I absolutely love, and which are passed on to many of her pups. She is a super devoted mother who requires no substantive help from her canine midwife (me) until her pups are ready for solid food, at which time they are so well fattened they look like little sausages. She makes it all look effortless!
